Edgewood Update!

Hello Edgewood Family,

Hard to imagine that Spring is around the corner on this blustery cold day, but we are just a few months away!

It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of Larry Dodge, Superintendent at Edgewood Golf Course. After many years of dedicated service and hard work, Larry has decided to hang up his hat and enjoy his well-deserved retirement.

We wish Larry all the best in his retirement and want to extend our heartfelt thanks for his years of serviceat Edgewood Golf Course.

Following Larry’s departure, we would like to introduce and welcome our new Superintendent,
Jacob “Jake” Brady, to our Edgewood Family.

Jake Brady is a seasoned professional in the golf course industry. His journey began in his hometown of Worthington, Ma, where he started as an assistant. This role laid the foundation for his education and growth in the field. Jake went on to attend the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at UMass Amherst, where he earned his degree in Plant and Soil Science in 2000.

With his education and experience, Jake held several important positions in the industry. He worked as the Assistant Superintendent at Berkshire Hills Country Club in Pittsfield, Ma, and then moved on to serve as Superintendent at the Northampton Country Club in Northampton, Ma. In 2016, he left Northampton and secured the Superintendent role at Donnybrook Country Club in Lanesborough, Ma, before coming to Edgewood Golf Course.

As a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GSCAA), Jake is excited to meet the staff and members of Edgewood Golf Course and is eager to bring his skills and expertise to the course to make it awell-maintained and challenging golf experience for all.

We are looking forward to the start of an exciting 2023 Golf Season!
We will update you as we get closer to opening day!

Warmest regards,
